I have not listened to the sneaker pimps in a while but man...they are chill
|
I use to think Kelly Dayton was so sexy.
I only had 1 of their cds, but I liked everything on it
|
you got me listening to them again... even changed avatar to 6 underground, anyone know of any bands that have a singer that sound like her?
i love her voice
|
I cant think of another band with a singer like her but I think that Juliana Hatfield is another chick that rocks. That is a kick ass avatar. I have
that video on my computer and will prob watch it now.
|
I like the # they did with Marilyn Manson for some movie soundtrack I have since forgotten. Spawn I think...

Kelli Dayton is not, nor was she ever the singer for the Sneaker Pimps.
The singer is actually a guy (dont remember his name)
The band just 'hired' her for that album.
If you want more Kelli Dayton, she goes by the name Keli Ali now, I believe.
It is funny though, how I havent heard anything from the pimps since she left. lol. She defined the group for me as well.
|
yeah, I recently found that out. What a mistake on the pimps part to kick her out.

Dont think Ive heard it myself. I heard a few tracks after Keli left. I thought it was ok, but to me, just wasnt the pimps anymore. That girl DEFINED
the band. Her voice just fit. It fit like (insert analogy here).
Ill check out sick though. Im not above giving it another try.
Anybody heard Kelli Ali? (I havent, I just know thats her solo thing. I think its more hip-hop(ish) though)

I love the Pimps. Do any of you remember a show on Nickelodeon years ago called, "The Adventures of Pete & Pete"? It was a pretty cool show in the
early 90's. It had lots of bands and artists that made cameo appearances. Iggy Pop, Juliana Hatfield, LL Cool J, and many other stars like Steve
Buscemi and Vincent Pastore. Anyways, the Sneaker Pimps were in one episode and they played at the older Pete's prom. I know it's an obscure bit of
trivia, but my head is filled with obscure trivia.
Here's a link to the IMDB page for Pete & Pete

oh man, I loved pete & pete. I never knew so many cool musicians were on it. I really like the theme song. Isnt it by the lemonheads?
