After 3 days of Hard Time Paris Hilton Is Released

www.msnbc.msn.com

After just three days behind bars, TMZ.com is reporting that Paris Hilton was released early Thursday morning.

The reality TV star and heiress was originally sentenced to 45 days for violating the terms of her probation following a DUI arrest. The judge cut her sentence to 23 days and she entered a Los Angeles County jail on Sunday night.

There you have it. The American 'Justice' system is based upon nothing. It's arbitrary and driven by who you are, who you know and your net worth. And the next kick to the nads the 'Justice System' will get is when Bush pardons Scooter Libby. The affluent and empowered can do whatever they want whenever they want with impunity. As a country, we have absolutely no right to point fingers at any other country for their alleged injustice. We're writing the book on injustice.

What a joke it just makes me buy into 'the powerful don't have to follow the rules because they helped create said rules. If this was anyone else on the street they'd be looking at ten or fifteen years hard time before parole.

Oh poor misunderstood Paris. The cell was too cold for her dainty body, she was just so depressed and couldn't even bring herself to eat.

What a crock. I thought she was going to take this WITHOUT special treatment. She broke the law, and was sent to prison accordingly. What is it going to take for her to finally be treated like the rest of us would be in that situation? Well, money talks, and breaks you out of the jail house it seems.

Honestly, I hope she quickly re-offends. She's too lame NOT to get into trouble.

She got out because of an unspecified medical problem? What was that, split ends?

There are people in prison in California right now who are actually DYING and are no threat to society whatsoever, and can't get compassionate leave to die at home.

Ms. Hilton could have KILLED someone, someone's child -- and she gets out after three days? What did she do, threaten to kill herself? [sarcasm] well, that would have been a big loss. [/sarcasm]

How is she going to have learned her lesson in three days? And being confined to her home is hardly punishment.

I just hope next time she drives drunk she only wraps herself around a tree instead of mowing down innocent bystanders, which is what could have happened and what might happen next time.

Spoiled little tart.

Paris is an oik. This is truly sickening.

The only reason that she could be let out so early is if they forced her to listen to her own album 24/7 (for the last three days). That really would have been a cruel and unusual punishment!

Everyone inside for a DUI should start legal procedings of unfair treatment, a class action drunk drivers law suit.

I'm with MM.

May she wrap her skinny pointless butt around the next big tree she passes!

Im in shock. Anyone saying that there was no bibery involved needs their head examined. A medical condition? What kind of medical condition would she possibly have aside from an incurable highly infectious communicable disease could she possibly have that warranted such a thing? Not only that but how was it that she was able to get a court date so quickly where in some cases it would take weeks or months for an appeal.

"I am trying to be strong right now," she told reporters at the time. "I'm ready to face my sentence. Even though this is a really hard time, I have my family, my friends and my fans to support me, and that's really helpful

what a joke!

"She's using this time to reflect on her life, to see what she can do to make the world better and hopefully, in my opinion, to change the attitudes that exist about her among many people," Hutton said after visiting Hilton.

ahahaha thats funny it took her 3 whole days to reflect on her life and see what she can to to make the world a beter place. What a phoney piece of garbage.

When she was sentenced May 4, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ruled that she would not be allowed any work release, furloughs or use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail.

Well your honor I guess you really showed us who really does make the laws in the country. Rich heiresses in strapless gowns carrying a wad of cash and not corrupt judges in black robes and a gavel in hand just to make it look good. Your newly made swiss bank account is waiting for you at retirement.

I heard two explanations: She was either about to have nervous breakdown or she had a rash.

In the end though her sentence was actually much tougher than most people would get for the same offense (usually no jail at all), so she was probably being treated worse than your average person.

Sorry I didn't see this thread. Yeah I think its wrong. Don't understand why the famous always gets treated differently. At least IMO.

For some reason my edit button is gone forever. I was going to add her medical condition is probably drug related. She might need to get her fix. If she's on drugs heavy it could kill her if not done properly.

In this thread here I said that they said on the news she would only serve 5 days anyways. They credit her for the 5 days even though she only served 3 days.

She ended up spending three full days at the all-women's facility in Lynwood, but because she checked in late Sunday and left early Thursday, authorities credited her with five days of time served. She'll be confined to her Hollywood Hills home for 40 days.

2 solutions Mental Prison ward and or Calamine lotion

Yeah but you know what...its just been the first time shes been caught or at least not let go by a cop that we may know of. Ive seen her in many videos openly trashed in public getting into cars wether driving or being driven. You said most people. There are others who have gotten the same treatment. Many young people and even older ones look to this woman as an example. A person like her enjoys the limelight and if shes going to be putting herself there then dont complain when you get caught or expect preferential treatment.

she was release for "medical reasons" (or, at least, that's what z100, a local radio station, was reporting)...

don't they have doctors in prisons for prisoners who get sick and etc???

By now I'm already used to this bs....because this kind of thing isn't new to me, in fact, I'm used to fools shooting people all the time and getting away with it all the time, around here its really common, people shoot people (and their families) because of who they are/where they live/where they from/what colors they wear/where they happen to be/body langauge................and usually getting away with it, and if not, getting very short sentences. So Paris Hilton is really nothing, just a little crybaby getting away with stealing some candy, this right here is nothing big. Just pointing out. But yes, I probably would've gotten a death penalty for doing what she did, so I'd wish the system treated people equally, but it ain't like that.

I am unaware of the laws in CA, however, I have known people in MO who got DUI's and they seem to be sentenced with much less, and on the second offense at that. One person I know only got a weekend in jail on the second offense (and while still on probation for the first offense). So I don't think it's just the rich.

That being said though, if your sentenced for 45 days you should do 45 days. End of story.

Damn yo, those 3 days must have been oh so brutal for poor Paris.

My guess is she just kept barfing and then said she was going to die if she didnt get out.

Only upside is that she will have to do the full sentence on house arrest. Not that that is bad by any means. Being on house arrest in a 20 million dollar mansion is probably pretty sweet.

Whatev Paris. You suck, your movies suck, your music sucks and you suck at life
