My hosting server suffered an irrecoverable kernel crash last month, not something I'd wish upon my worst enemy. It was teh suXor

Restoring backups, installing modules and 3rd-party software ... all the while having to temporarily switch clients' sites to the backup server and "deal" with their incessant calls, concerns, and complaints.

It was a PITA, to say the least.
