I'm a big LOST fan but I understand where you are coming from.
Jumping on to a random episode of lost is like walking into a movie theater when the movie has been running for an hour already.
You should really try and watch it from the first episode. You should be able to rent the DVD from your local rental store. If you don’t like the
first episode, this show just isn’t for you. If you do like the first episode then I guarantee you will become a huge fan just like the rest
of us.

I like lost a lot. It is an exciting show with lots of mystery. I would do what umbrax said, and go rent the first disc of season 1 on dvd. Watch
the pilot episode and you will be hooked. Once you finish watching season one, go out and rent veronica mars season 1 on dvd. It is another great
show that you will love.

Lost is amazing, its one of a few decent shows on TV. It's mysterious, aswell as action packed and thought provoking - I love it.

Huge Lost fan here. I preach watching it everywhere I go. Umbrax is definately right, continuity is a must when watching it. Gotta start from season
one episode 1 to get the jist and direction of it.

Yes, it does seem tedious but you really need to avidly watch it to fully appreciate it. I've given up on theories now and just enjoy the twists of
the story because you can never be sure of exactly whats going to happen. I find that refreshing for that reason compared to most T.V. series. But I
can see where you're comming from.
P.S. how far ahead ia America to us Brits? I saw the one called "The Long Con" this evening (Sawyer past story: falls in love with woman he's
supposed to con) and that's the most up to date on Sky.

For whatever reason, I feel Lost when watching Lost. I don't understand the plot or what the story line is.
When the few times I have seen it, I just don't get it. I don't. So I agree with you. Do you understand the plot? I don't, I just don't.
So you have a vote from me.

Its beacause there isn't just "a" plot.
Its made of loads and loads. Each character has something which has contributed to their present situation. Jack has a previous relationship with
Desmond. Sayid has a previous relationship with Calvin. and so on
The fact that the stories haven't fully unfolded yet means that no one understands the plot. We don't understand who the Others are, what the HELL
is with the Island, or what theat giant foot was.
At most we can keep track of what happened and add everything new to what we know about everything.
Watch the first series again, then the second and get ready for series 3 in october (you lucky yanks)
