Bands and Musicians Avatars

Topic started on 12-6-2006 @ 05:35 PM by Nygdan

Most people are big fans of different bands and musicians, and some of us can get pretty fanatical about some groups. So why not have a thread for avatars dedicated to that?

I'll post some ATS format avatars of musicians, bands, album art, etc. If anyone else wants to add any of theirs, please go ahead. We'll include this thread in the 'free avatars' thread so that other ATS members can use and enjoy them.

Even if you have an avatar on 'display' somwhere else on the boards, but its specifically related to a particular band or musician, please replicate the link here.

If you have uploaded the image to an ats server or imageshack, you can just use the 'img' tags to have it display.

The first is from the "Recipe for Hate" album cover. The second is lead singer Greg Graffin. The third is more album art.

This is a good idea Nygdan. I'll deffinately get a few tossed up some time soon.

I created alot of movie themed avatars as of late, always good to group a certain theme.

Here're a few of my favorite group.

(I didn't get lazy on this one, it's just..you can't put words to the Dead Set cover art)

On a similiar note, how do you html your way into getting your avatars to line up horizontally, rather than vertically?

Just use spaces instead of line returns, like so:

{ats}image url{/ats} {ats}image url{/ats} {ats}image url{/ats}
{ats}image url{/ats} {ats}image url{/ats} {ats}image url{/ats}
{ats}image url{/ats} {ats}image url{/ats} {ats}image url{/ats}

And replace curly brackets with straight ones

I'm becoming a big fan of Bhangra music. Here are some avatars related to that:

I'd be surprised (pleasantly surprised) if anyone here was familiar with this stuff or wanted to use one of these avatars, but, heck, there it is anyway!

Nygdan, is that singer in the middle the same one who sings Tunak Tuak Tun?

Found that music video when I was in High School, and I'm glad you made me go find it again!

WOW that video was awesome! The guy in the middle is Malkit Singh, he sounds different than the guy in that video. I googled around and apparently the video you posted is Daler Mehndi, who I am unfamiliar with.

That video was distrubing and funny at the same time. I have to learn to start dancing like that.

The music sounded more like pop, whereas Malkit Singh does Bhangra. Though one song of his, Tootak, sounds almost a little like that one (in the refrain anyway, but the music is more drums and the like.
