I commend you on your post. You'll have to excuse RANT as he is obvioulsy a die-hard Kerry supporter and cannot stand to have even one shred of negativity posted about his "Boy". The sad fact of the matter is that MOST of what you posted on the "resume" is in fact true.

Now, to prove a point, watch everyone flame me and accuse me of being a "Bushie" (whatever the hell that is!?:@@. Once they've done that I'll return to conclude my thoughts on the matter.

Little wonder. It's hard to get support for posting things that aren't true. There are detailed posts above (with facts) to this effect.

You really aren't getting the whole picture of my point here. It's not partisan at all. The blogoshpere environment to which we all contribute where searching Bush's Resume or any aspect of it to either "prove" or "disprove" a point yields in that case over 727,000 self defeating returns to the very same hit piece.

We broke Google. We all did it. We all should stop.

I don't know how to be any clearer on the matter. Spreading disinfo (even partially true and partially false) is not Denying Ignorance... it's promoting it.

I don't know that "debate" is what's going on. It's a frequently debunked, slipshod piece of research.

Might I suggest that you hunt for more solidly researched pieces instead? The other Bush supporters here tend to stick to those.

Has anyone compared criminal records yet?

It [drunk driving] is Mr Bush's third known arrest. He was charged with disorderly conduct in 1966 after stealing a Christmas tree while drunk when he was a Yale student. The charges were later dropped. The following year he was arrested in New Jersey for disorderly conduct after a college football game. He was given a caution.

Want a good chuckle? Got to howiecarr.org and look at the Kerry Korner. All the Kerry trivia that's fit to print, including sound clips such as the infamous "That's not your business" bit. The SUV in Kerry's driveway, photos of Kerry consorting with felons, etc., etc. Great fun for all.

Frequently debunked? Care to debunk the rest of it, other than some things that RANT proved are wishy-washy? like I said, most of these ARE facts.. Some are debatable facts, but that's why this is a debate thread...

There's a reason why I don't reply to some of your posts, curme

By the way, you could open that picture for debate...just not in the political debate thread. We can debate it, if you wish. Post it in cryptozoo-ology..(sp???)

First year in office set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history.

After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, presided over the worst security failure in US history.

Set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips than any other president in US history.

In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their job.

Dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.

My presidency is the most secretive and un-accountable of any in US history.

Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (the 'poorest' multi-millionaire, Condoleezza Rice has an Chevron oil tanker named after her).

Took the biggest world sympathy for the US after 911, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history).

With a policy of 'dis-engagement' created the most hostile Israeli-Palestine relations in at least 30 years.

Fist US president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.

First US president in history to have the people of South Korea more threatened by the US than their immediate neighbor, North Korea.

Changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

Set all-time record for number of administration appointees who violated US law by not selling huge investments in corporations bidding for government contracts.

Failed to fulfill my pledge to get Osama Bin Laden 'dead or alive'.

Failed to capture the anthrax killer who tried to murder the leaders of our country at the United States Capitol building. After 18 months I have no leads and zero suspects.

In the 18 months following the 911 attacks I have successfully prevented any public investigation into the biggest security failure in the history of the United States.

Removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history.

George W. Bush Real Resume

Past work experience:

Ran for congress and lost. HANCE: 1974-1978; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-sixth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1979-January 3, 1985); was not a candidate for reelection in 1984 to the Ninety-ninth Congress but was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the United States Senate; changed party affiliation to Republican in 1985; was an unsuccessful candidate for the Republican nomination for governor of Texas in 1986 and 1990

Looks like he lost to a dirty flip flopper. Hance apparently got lucky because he lost as both a democrat and a Republican.

Produced a Hollywood slasher B movie. Thats just cool. Plus Regan (one of our great presidents) was in the movie business

Bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas, company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.

Securities and Exchange Commission as part of its investigation a decade ago found that Bush's trading was appropriate.
By the time Bush sold his stock, the cash crisis had been largely resolved," said Jordan. "By May 21, 1990, the major shareholders had agreed to a credit agreement which put $26 million into the company immediately."

Bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using tax-payer money. Biggest move: Traded Sammy Sosa to the Chicago White Sox.

Sports teams are payed for by the tax payers. Thats how stadiums are built, or atleast were built. When he bought the team, the Rangers were playing in an old minor-league stadium. It didn't have the fancy sky boxes and other amenities that helped make other franchises much more profitable. As a result, the team couldn't compete with other big-city teams for good players. The tax payers fought to get that stadium set up in Arlington.

With fathers help (and his name) was elected Governor of Texas.

Bush did not (nor want to) use his fathers name to become governor of Texas. He used the purchase of the baseball franchise to his benefit. Who better to run your state than the owner of your nations pass time.

If you want me to slap your article around a little more I'd be happy to give you a little competition.'

*NOTE: THIS ARTICAL WAS WRITTEN BY MY FRIEND. I TOLD HIM TO PUT THAT, BUT APPARENTLY HE DIDN'T LISTEN.

herm,

Are you editing that list so that it is accurate? On the windfarm thing I don't believe that he is actually on record as being against it; there are enough big demos in the state already against that it is probably dead....so I believe he is waiting for some report, last I heard anyhow.

Holy $hit, I can't believe that you just said that!!! Managed to f- up three words in a row, good job. I was gonna debate with you, but you just lowered your respect from me ten fold. By the way, true story. Kerry kid heard me talking to my liberal friend, and saying something about him being liberal. He was a neanderthol and didn't know what I said. Assuming it was something bad about liberals, he tried to pick a fight with me. Haha, I can't believe you actually said poser. How old are you?

Well see, in my mind, there are two main things wrong with this resume of Bush's. First: While he did do some wrong things, just like everyone else, alot of this stuff is debatable. While I won't go so far as to say that it's all biased and one sided, alot of it is. It turns alot of things that may have been good OR bad into bad things. Secondly: I know it's to insult Bush, so the writer of this resume neglects to put in anything good about Bush, or reasons TO vote for him. Who knows, he may actually have more good things/reasons to vote for him than the bad things that this person lists. If you look at Kerry, it's not even close. Barely any Kerry supporters KNOW why they're voting for him other than that he's not Bush. I really do respect those who actually do know why they're voting Kerry.

Yeah, it was hilarious. It's still the same, though. Most people have no idea what's going on in politics. This moron was just....a moron.
