No such luck where I live, when it's cold it doesn't rain, and it rains it's never cold enough.

A mini yellow rose from my indoor garden.

I had to hold the lens to the mount backwards to get this close. Being an electronic lens my aperture just read 000, so I had no control over DOF and focusing was done by moving the camera fwd and back.

Same for this picture. No idea where the LB came from in the middle of winter. This is about 3-4 days after the first picture, same rose. I can actually get it to where I can see all the little separate eyes or lenses, but then thats the only thing in focus.

Oh cam is a Rebel 350D or XT depending what country youre in. The lens is the one that came with it 18-55 EF-S turned backwards and handheld to the mount. I have the el cheapo 75-300mm lens also but I havent figured out how to macro backwards with that one....yet.

Oh the spider pics were taken normally as close as I could get then just cropped. I wish I had this figured out then!

If you click "quote" on a post where you wonder "how did he do that?", then you can see how the author of that post "did it".

In one of my posts above, I used the following code to create a smaller version, clickable picture:

[ats=600x450]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/49fa5d366b03.jpg[/ats]
Click for bigger

...to get this result:

Click for bigger

Hope that helps

I've posted these in this other (snow) thread, but I feel they should be here too. Somewhere in Norway on Christmas Day 2009.
