Here are some photos I'd like to submit from my second rotation to Iraq.

Sorry if you were looking for specifically non-life stills. Also sorry that the shots were so large and the pics look off-center.

1) This shot is a man who was so happy to see us clearing unexploded mortars from his street near his house, he brought his baby daughter out for me to hold. This scene is forever stuck in my head.




2) This next shot is a couple of brothers who came out to see what we were doing. Reminded me of my cousin and his brother from when we were all children.




3) Finally. This shot is of a girl who could have been no more than 10-13 years old, maybe younger. We responded to a call of dangerous explosives and while I was on security, she stared at us the entire time. Another scene I'll never forget. The poverty of the area this child lives in.

this is a banyan tree in maui hawaii. coolest tree i've ever seen.
