That was an old post. We used img-tags back then. img-tags will now turn most images into links. To make it display in posts the "old way", you should now use ats-tags instead, if you host the image. ats-tags are not to be used for hotlinked pictures. Only for photobucket, imageshack, uploadit, or ats, etc. Not hotlinked from blogs or articles. If you host the image, you also don't risk it suddenly turning into another image, or removed by somebody else.

Camera: Fujifilm F11, Macro

Photoshop: Curve Manipulation, Resized 50%, Black Border

I was trying to create a polaroid effect and failed, but what came out was this:

I also agree, I have been following this thread since its beginning and, although not a real photographer myself, I am accustomed to see photos and appreciate the art behind the simple action of taking a photo, and the photos from samureyed have that touch that make some photos real art works.

Great work!

A long while since I last posted any of my photos, but I thought I'd share some views taken yesterday morning after we had the first proper snowfall of 2008 (only in England do we get more snow in April than in the whole of the winter!!!)

I'm about to get a new camera, but these were taken with my old Olympus C-765uz

Nice shots! I really like the third one down with the building rising up behind the trees.

Great photos, Essan.

Snow is a good subject (for a good photographer), but unfortunately is something I have never seen.

I'm sure you all have seen this one many times before, but I've akways been fascinated by this gargoyle, ever since I was a kid and I was just floored when I finally saw it in person.

I thought that I would share a few of the signal shot of the old Cantilever Style C&O Signals that are now being replaced. These were taken two months before all of the signals in both shots were placed out of service and taken down.

Eastbound Absolute Signals (EAS for short)

Westbound Absolute Signals (WAS for short)
