M2 50 cal. Browning. Heavy hitter, long range but heavy. Hellva weapon as long as you don't have to slug it too far.

M1 carbines lack accuracy and stopping power. I would pick either of the 30-06 caliber weapons the BAR, or M1 Garand.

I'll go with the ~PPD-40~ since I have a thing for Russian weapons, that and looks like a pretty good rate of rire -- and of course the drum mags! Whoohoo

Also what about the: ~PPSch-41~? It's a WWII wep as well, and from what I've read improved.

Loved shooting the garand. Even better was watching someone shoot it for the first thime and getting a bloody nose or landing on their arse.

I meant a personal infantry weapon. Something you can carry with yourself...

I'd take the Bren or BAR for long range combat. They both have high accuracy and stopping power, plus a supidly high rate of fire

Not really, the BAR had a rate of fire of 450 rpm I believe, anything faster and it would become uncontrollable.

"German Mp-44" or as its really called as Stg 44 was and still is (of all those weapons) the best, and had after the war great impact to weapons design of all nations, unlike the others that just become obsolete and were dumbed at 3rd world hell holes.

And as a hint to you son, world.guns.ru... doesnt allow remote linking, they just send you blank images.

Btw,

Stg 44's are still today put on good use at those 3rd world hell holes..

Stg 44 in use by Mahdi Militia.

Doesn't that dude know that shooting an antique firearm devalues it?? When he goes on "Antiques Roadshow" it will be worth alot less because of it.

Well, you know the Iraqis, they shoot with anything they can get their hands on and if they find some ammo to it.

I would have to say the Stg 44. It made way for the AK-47...so you know it was really powerful, especially for that era. And yes i have shot that rifle before (Call of Duty rocks!)

Jawohl,
I agree.

I'd have to go with the Kar 98 on the subject, I've fired one in real life and I loved it. Playing on Call of Duty as well, the only weapon I'd trust my "life" with on that game.

The M1917A1 .30 Caliber Water-Cooled Machine Gun

My dad lugged this thing across Germany in 1945.

When the water froze in the winter, they would piss into the can.

To to Mauser/KAR 98 and Nagant : they are not auto or selfloading isn't it too big disadvantage?
