UK ATS & Conspiracy theory seminar/gathering

<<  1    2  >>

Topic started on 20-1-2010 @ 02:07 PM by xSMOKING_GUNx

Is there any way ATS can hold an organised event in the UK?

Could there be enough interest from UK ATS members?

It would be great to put some faces to names and meet each other to share experiences, share hard copies of controversial materials and original photographs.

Maybe ATS could arrange a few guest speakers.

Anyone interested?

Regards S_G

I think it's an excellent idea! Flag for you

Surely there's enough of us in the UK for an event, a fairly big one too, I know loads of people on here from the UK...

Yeah, the staff need to see this.

I would think its a good idea, however there are many members who are abit paranoid to meet others, they'd have to get a day release pass too

What subjects are you thinking about making a talking point or is it just going to be a real life ATS community.

just talk about the current topics going on around them and on the site in real life.

Huge is following me i'll declare my secret love soon lmao

If you could get Blair on I am in on it and would support. Have some really hard questions for the "poodle".

Maybe different rooms for different subjects.

Maybe a bank holiday weekend event with different days covering different subjects.

There are so many interesting talking points it would be a shame to miss anything out.

I think it would be cool...

But i can't see ATS hauling ass to the UK.
They already have one in the states (the bay area ufo expo) and although there are lots of us from the UK on here, i just don't think it would happen.

There are however, plenty of UFO/Conspiracy type gatherings and events in the UK every year, why not just everyone go to one of those and all meet up?

Here is a list of events (mainly ufo) for this year

www.ufoinfo.com...

Members have been requesting something like this for years. I dont think that the Bay Area UFO Expo is intimate enough.

I am all for it, but think that it should be held in a whirlwind tour of both US and UK. Guest speakers from local areas as well as at least one of the Amigos and their representatives.

The problem is, it is possible that the turn out would not pay for the trip and its organization.

How much would you be willing to pay for say a two day seminar?

Whatever the going rate is i guess.
I guess it all depends on where it's held and who is speaking at the event.

It sounds really good and is something I would like to see. But, as already mentioned, I don't know if it's economically practical for ATS at this time. It would be nice though. Hell, have a "world tour", or at least come close enough to Tennessee so I can come.

What about if a group of commited members were to organise the event track down and invite some speakers?

Could we get support from other members and moderators?

Could we get some backing and support from ATS?

Personally i think this would be a great idea!

But I don’t think it would be something that would get backing from ATS but it would be better if members would organize it and maybe meet up somewhere sometime and just discuss the subjects we do here.

Don’t even have to get any guest speakers you could just meet up, That in itself would be alot of fun i think.

Flagged btw

Good idea for sure, I’d certainly be up for going to an organised ATS event in the UK, I guess the only way to fund it would be to charge a fair bit on entrance, I’d also be willing to help out if I was needed, I could help in the sound system area for speakers and mic’s ect, I know a fair few sound system owners who would do it at a fair price as apposed to paying overrated hire prices… my 2p

Yeah, that would be another good idea, an annual meeting of UK ATS members, we could discuss what we would like to bring to the table here on ATS prior to meeting and voice our opinions and arguments in person.

Nothing would be lost in translation as it is often here on the boards.

It could promote ATS and bring new members onboard, and new like minded friends.

Exactly what the UK needs, maybe a little more exposure in to some of the subjects covered here.

Personally im not sure if this would ever work but hey im throwing it out there as it may give someone else an idea.

Why not organize region meet up's like for example a meet up for London members, South Yorkshire member's and so on.

Maybe that could be fun for some members to do that especially those who can’t travel very far.

I’m just throwing it out there.

Hey great idea I was thinking about this the other day. It would be nice to meet up and talk about some of the subject matter on this site without people shaking their head and thinking you are nuts! I'm in the Selby area of north Yorkshire anyone else on ATS from round here?

Why is it that most UK ATSers I know on here are from Yorkshire??

That said, I know at least 4 members from here in Worcestershire...

Oooh, think about it, Birmingham's pretty much in the middle of the country, surely it's a logical gathering point for a big ATS get together?

Yeah you're right if we could have a big event, the more central the better.

I live in Cornwall and would gladly travel 300-400 miles to attend a big ATS event, although the idea of regional meetings over a laptop and few pints is very inviting and definitely achievable.

We'd have to book a slot with St. John's Ambulances too. Skeptics, believers, truthers, NWO, Icke-fans, chemtrailers and hellfire God-botherers

Bagsy at the back with a beer and a digital camera! ATS Media portal would love footage of a bar brawl. Picture the news report...

"It began with a dispute over who'd been abducted more times, erupted over a skeptic being called a sheeple and ended up with blue lights and sirens. Several attendees fled from the police lights believing they were hostile aliens. Police had to tazer a member who attempted to 'exorcise' them. Meanwhile, the fire brigade are trying to rescue a man on the roof of the building who's insisting his taxi is stuck in traffic near Zeta Reticuli..."

Even though I do enjoy my annonymity, wtf, deal me in.
It would have to be somewhere easily accessible though.
There are a few of here on ATS who maybe able to travel together.

Oh, and one other necessity....beer....no beer, no show!!
