The subject in general may well be an alternative one... but the OP's question of "Are torrents legal" is not exactly a great discussion
starter.
The OP is obviously worried about downloading illegally and is asking fellow members.... how is that alternative or conspiratorial in any way?
It's not an insult to have a thread moved to BTS... (says me lol) but it is the most appropriate place for this particular question/thread.
If the question was "should torrents be legal? : A discussion on itellectual property laws."
Then that would be different and probably a valid topic for ATS.
