Ode to you Absinthe....

Topic started on 2-1-2010 @ 05:27 PM by Jordan River

I bought a "cheap" bottle this year of a great absinthe ordinaire. 25$ bucks. can't beat the price. 95% proof and this stuff will get you. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what is the best absinthe avalible on the market right now.? obviously it must have a large quanity of wormwood for me to even purchase it. Last year I bought grande absinthe at my local seller. Which is better than this stuff. I'm short on funds lately. so i bought the cheap stuff for new years. Typing with the bottle on my right and a glass of the green stuff to my left in a wine glass. cheers

Well, personally I like this particular "brand".

Lucid

The site will give you a historical background also. Plus the bottle is awesome.

I think the last time I ordered it, it was $70 American for a 5th.

The site also contains lots of absinthe cocktails. I would try a few if you can. In particular the Brazilian Sangria is very good (I used strawberries).
