Hint #2 - location is close to North American town with population of 155. Locals call the road the house is on the "Snake Road".

I think he is afraid of the witch too. But I can personally vouch they are perfectly safe.

though..
The house picture was taken in Spearsville, La.....about 15 miles south of ElDorado, Ark. And it is plain SPOOKY in person

Grandparents own land close to there. Mailman (a character himself) verified to them that a cranky old lady lives there. She has no electricity or
running water, and routinely chases away kids & onlookers. This is a country community that basically encourages people to stay away from there. The
house is across the street from a church & an old graveyard.
