I wouldn't be saying that Jack, this is not the right moment to say it. For all we know, this storm can be just the first of many more to come this winter. If I remember correctly, the winter of 1995 to 1996 started off like this.

A few minutes ago...






Can't even see the stairs, and no tracks in the snow. Not a soul outside, not even cats.


Yesterday: Pepper (the cat) was jumping like a kangaroo in the snow, making these tracks. I saw him do it.

Tynset, Norway had minus 42.4°C on January 8. It was the coldest in Norway on that day. Not the coldest in Norway ever (that would be minus 52-point-something). Anyway, it made the news in India and Thailand because of these pictures. Kids playing outside in minus 40.
