I'll start it by saying that we are getting blasted by this winter storm and have been getting hit with the snow since about 7:00 in the evening. At
first, it wasn't adding up to much of anything. Around 8:00 is when it started going down hill, and needless to say it has went down hill fast.
Let's just say that this is our first decent snowfall of this winter season.
My street.
The main drag through town.
This is the place to put your snowy scenes that you have taken. So lets see what the rest of you ATS members have taken in the snow.

You can KEEP the twenty below zero temperatures thank you.
It was kinda strange having the power go out three times already this morning. Each time it went out, it would come back on a minute or so later. I am
wanting to say that it might be the weight of the snow that is causing it.

Now that is just a cute pic you have there asala.
I'm thinking about going out again and getting a few shots of the snow covered trees around my neighborhood. Then I might go out later on and try to
get some snowy railroad pics. That, however, depends if they can get anything east and west of Clifton Forge, Va.

It looks like many of the east coast US members will get chances to snap some shots of the snow, cause its coming down like there is no tomorrow,
especially here in Northern Virginia. After I get done shoveling the driveway and sidewalk I might even post a few once the camera is charged up.

Ok here are mine!
here is our bird feeder. A blizzard doesn't stop these birds. And suddenly cowbirds and/or grackles showed up. Which is unusual.
This is our poor bush out front that is usually about 3 feet higher.
Off my deck. I use the table to the left as a good indicator of depth.

Dec 19 2009 Snow Storm (Photo Gallery)
The Northern Virginia area is definitely getting hammered and the snow shows little signs of letting up from what I've seen. Apparently a state of
emergency has already been declared, wondering now if my office has been closed for tomorrow, cause that green car you see buried is mine, and I
don't think its getting out anytime soon.

A little update for comparison:
Keep in mind my drive way is somewhat sheltered by trees ... there's at least 6 more inches on the street.

I just missed getting a foot of snow plus some by less then twenty five miles. This storm has knocked out somewhere around 200,000 people in West
Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. Not only that, fourty plus miles of the West Virginia Turnpike has been closed from Charleston to Beckley. Not to
mention the nearly 8,000 weather related calls that came in to the 911 center here in Kanawha County alone.

Car is almost gone.
And this is looking at the back garden:
The snow against the window is the total accumulation.
