Official LS engine breakdown (GM)

I figured this could be useful reference guide for anyone on the board with any GM vehicle equipped with an LS engine. Some may be off by a year or two. This is what I am going by to my knowledge.


Cars:

LS1 - 5.7L (1997 was the first year for the LS1)

1997 - 2004 Corvette
1998 - 2002 F-Body (Camaro/TransAm)
2004 GTO

LS2 - 6.0L

2005-2006 GTO
2005-2006 C6 Corvette
2006+ Cadillac CTS-V


LS3 - 6.2L

2007+ Corvette
2010 Camaro (2SS)
-L99 - 6.2L Engine with DoD (Displacement on Demand)
also opted for the 2010 Camaro 1SS.

I love a nice LS1. There's something to be said about being able to produce that much raw HP from a block. My friend had an 97 LS1 Firebird with a few bolt-ons that made good HP and I've seen a few single turbo LS1's. They were the only real street cars that I've seen that could hang with us single turbo Supra's.

I have an LS2 05 GTO....people are like "what's that?"...guess the looks didn't hit it off with the public....but the raw power, the car is a BEAST!
