Thanks!
It is not worth it in my opinion, you are not missing anything. Of course some my say otherwise, but IMHO it is not worth it. But go ahead, you can
always say you joined the RATS forum.

ABOUT ATS: MyATS - Your Favorite Forums and Subscribed Threads
Dammit all to heck man that sucks. Nothing against staff, just what a suckey situation...so much time to trawl through threads...so many replies going
un noticed....so much wasted opportunity for learning & discussion makes me sad, doesn't it make you sad (ATSstaff) ?
Alright so I'm sad & dissapointed, established, now what are we gonna do about it???
anyway us ats members can help? I'm broke. Just putting that out there right now, haven't worked for over a year now. but if there are ways the ats
community can help....ask us!!! BUT! problems too much traffic right?
how can that be solved, ads? money for other servers or space or something?
You must understand (surely) that this notification thing is pretty essential & will save many people alot of time & speed up the quest for knowledge,
to not have 're activating post-reply notifications' on your wish list then surely you must see that works against your own philosophy? the motto
would have to be 'prolonging ingnorance due to technical issues'
Much love to all of you, joining this website has already become one of the best things I've ever done on the internet, the experience of
participating in the ats forums/community has been nothing but beneficial for me & will continue to be for all the foreseeable future & most likely
beyond.
Never had time for forums till I found this website. Found it through a PDF copy of 'something something from an insider' which came to me in an
occult e-book collection torrent, and was copied from one of the ATS threads.
Anyway back on topic, when is it likely you will be re-activating this reply notification feature???? in a year...2?....a week? ....once you hit a
savings margin???

Hey, can anyone help me out with my avatar picture? It used to work, and now I'm getting a broken image icon in my posts. I've uploaded the image to
my media - photos section, chose options, and selected "set as avatar" to no avail.
Anyone??
*EDIT*
Nevermind. The automated linking from my profile was parsing the "g" on the .jpg extension in the link. Added the "g" and viola!

Neither the search button on the top bar, or the search window right next to it, are working. No matter how simple the search, no results are
returned.

Compound quoting: If you quote someone quoting someone, this will result in a penalty.
I think that limiting quoted text in a post to 2 lines or less would at times be a very bad idea; it would lead to interpreting what others say, and
that, in turn, could lead to arguments about putting words in poster's mouths; I know from experience. This is why I try to quote as much as
possible, so that such accusations are virtually impossible. I have also certainly used the compound quote, when it's good to see in detail how a
conversation is going; I once used something like 8 compounded quotes to get to some point that jthomas and Lillydale were arguing about over in the
9/11 conspiracies thread.
I contend that deleting or removing material from such posts would be detrimental to this forum.

Concerning your recent post on the one liners.
Can we ask for an exception in the event that a poster links to a news story or video that fails. The possibility of giving an off topic response is
quite high in this event. It would also seem rude to just ignore the thread especially if it's in a forum we frequent.
Could we post a "link failed" response if we promised to go back and edit in a relevant discussion later?
Also your handbook link has always failed for me. What sort of secrets are hidden in the mysterious pages of the ats user handbook that is so
protected the passing new user may not be graced by it's enlightenment?

Those generally are ok. After all, you're being helpful and pointing out that assistance is needed.
Just do so in a nice way and all is well.

ABOUT ATS: Warnings for one-line or short responses
I've seen an increase in this as well. Most are coming from relative new comers. I will admit that sometimes if the discussion warrents it a one
liner is appropriate. I fully understand that this is not always the case.

Works for me. A pop up should come up and say you put the member on ignore. And then once you refresh the thread their posts are gone.

I've got some request regarding my personal TOD medals in my sig. The question is, can ATS do similars and award the members, because it seems some
people likes this idea in general. I'm just asking.

Hi folks,
I'd really like to be able to upload an avatar but currently the only way to do it is via the media portal which is unfortunately not accepting new
sign ups. And idea when this will be resolved?
Thanks in advance.

Signature questions:
The signature guidelines state that:
All URLs must be approved by an ATS Administrator or Site Owner prior to display.
I would like to add a link to an ATS thread of my creation to my signature. I would
generally assume that links to threads here on ATS would be ok, since abovetopsecret.com/* would of course be an approved URL. The general
intent of the rules appears to be that the approval requirement is only for "personal or other websites," but the literal phrasing of the
guidelines indicates that all URL's must be approved.
Question 1: Since the phrasing explicity implies that moderators cannot give approval, who shall I ask for signature approval, or would someone
give it to here?
Question 2: If the intent is that only external links require approval, and that signature links to ATS threads are universally ok...would
someone update the guidelines to reflect that?
Thank you.
