Yeah, he looks like the type that would spit in your face.
It is funny, in a way, but man, people aren't supposed to act like this.

People have the emotional stress of pent-up animals.
Humans are better than this. Or they should be. I can't laugh about it too much, it frustrates me more than anything.

so your advocating slapping every crying child you see? Have you ever tried to calm down a 2 year old having a tantrum? Its not as easy as saying stop crying.

Tantrums are easy to take care of. Never, ever, give the child what it wants if it throws a tantrum (never reward bad behavior). Remove them from the public place (so they won't annoy others), make them sit and throw their tantrum in private (so they don't have an audience to play to), ignore them until they run out of energy, eventually they will realize that tantrums do not work, and will now have them anymore. Works like a charm. Reasoning with them will not work, a dog has a greater mental capacity at that age, and the little savages learn through the same mechanism that all other animals use... reward or punishment.

How do you work out that the mother is useless? Because she didn't try to assault a man who was already in a towering rage? I'm sure you are very brave behind your monitor, but I bet you are not able to back that up in real life. I also expect that your four children have been total pains in the ass to some folks during their time on earth, although maybe you were oblivious to the annoyance. It's what kids do, and it's up to adults to be adult and tolerate other people's children's behaviour.

I don't agree with what he did, but it brings to light a BIG issue...parents not controlling their children. Almost daily, I see bratty kids running, screaming, bumping into people and being generally unruly and disrespectful. And what do parents of these children do? Nothing! Parents these days seem to be more involved in cell phone conversations, text messages and paying attention to their personal interests, all the while assuming that their children are SPECIAL and have the highest level of authority, right and permission to run rampant in public. If the parent in this case, or any other case, would do their JOB and be a true parent, then stuff like this wouldn't happen. Ultimately, if not the parents, then it is the responsibility of the management of establishments to demand that a parent get their child under control or risk being escorted off the premises.

A crying upset toddler is the basis upon which a parent is judge wanting.

I know. If your child won't simmer down, you should NEVER leave the house. Stupid cows. Starve.

The child hate of the First World is going to be the undoing of us, because we will be outbred and replaced by people who as a society do not HATE children for their crime of EXISTING and being CHILDREN in our ever so important presence.

A least the two year old has an excuse - she's two. You are all adults, and have none.

"Talking during a movie."

I shudder to think about that one. I know that someone talking during a movie is enough to make me go right to the very edge (the last time that happened I calmly asked the two offenders to shut the f# up. It worked). This guy would have leapt over the edge willingly, I bet.

Seriously though, this is the type of guy that pulls out a shotgun when children are crossing his lawn on the way home from school.

I'm 6'4", 305 lbs, can bench press 400 lbs, and carry a CCW .357 Mag with me at all times and believe me when I say this, this douche would have hoped and prayed he'd struck one of my kids in front of me rather than in front of my wife. At least if he'd done it in front of just me he'd have had a chance at surviving the aftermath. My wife isn't a large woman, but where protecting our children are concerned she's a mama Kodiak bear with PMS.

I actually thought this story was going to be about something different. When I was 19 or 20, I was in K-mart in my hometown and I saw a woman with a baby (maybe 18 months old) in her cart. The little guy wanted something and he was a bit whiney, but nothing signifigant or bratty. Anyway, the see you next tuesday looked at the kid and said "G.D. It, I said shut the *blank* up" and punched the kid full force in the forehead. His little head snapped back and he was knocked cold for a good 30 seconds, then he looked up with, I kid you not, an almost mongaloid look about his face and just completely freaked out. She cursed, grabbed the kid, and headed for the exit... I told customer service. Like I said, at the time I was a 19 year old punk with no kids. If the same thing happened today, with me having my own little ones, I'd restrain the woman and file citizen charges on her for child abuse.

It's a shame that you people judge him. Hes the last person you should judge, how about you guys start with yourselves. I'm sure you guys are all saints. We don't know what he was going through. Sure he could have controlled himself, but I'm sure there was this one time that you couldn't control yourself with all the # going on. I think that this thread reflects the world.

It reflects how we judge without thinking it all through. It shows how we "solve" the problem by saying what kind of man he is, and what he deserves. Understandable that most people wouldn't have hit the child, but what about other situations. How long before one of you will be in the news. I'm sorry I just needed to say it.

no, i do not advocate slapping every crying child i see. some cry for legitimate reasons. i thinnk i have enough self-control to refrain myself from laying my hands on any child.

what i am saying is- i understand why he slapped the kid. most of us ignore the why and go straight to the conclusion.

And all this time I thought it was always little Hispanic boys that cried and wailed like a siren at Walmart.

Chaulk one up for the little black girl.

Where is Al Sharpton when you need him?

What a jackass. If he would have made that threat to me, he wouldn't have had a chance to even "do it for me". Plus, something tells me he wouldn't do this if a male is around. But who knows, people are crazy. As for the picture, I definitely get a more evil Mr. Wilson (from Dennis the Menace) vibe from him.

George: oh that lousy brat, he won't stop crying, the kid is a menace!
Martha: he is just upset George.
George: I don't care, that kid is driving me nuts and that stupid mom is doing a terrible job.
Martha: It's not our business George, let us go look at pillow cases.
George: I'm going to have words with that woman!
Martha: George, it's not your place...
George: Shut that kid up or I'll do it for you!
Woman: Oh F*** off!
(kid cries more, George slaps him)
George: There now I've given you something to cry about, if I were my old man, he would have beat you with a belt till ya couldn't move sonny.
Martha: Oh leave him alone George.

The idiot slapped a 2 year old multiple times in the face. I read all of these posts from people rambling about bratty kids and parents who don't control them. Blah Blah Blah. This was a 2 year old not a 6 year old. BIG difference in behavior and development.

2 year olds may cry for a variety of reasons. Some 2 year olds may not be able to verbalize yet and cry out of frustration. I am a parent to 3 year old twins with a speech delay. I have witnessed this behavior first hand. It is not a tantrum. 2 year olds often get the painful 2 year molars. Painful ear aches. The kid could just be tired and ready for a nap. Toddlers have good days and bad days. Good hours and bad hours. Their brains are evolving at a very rapid rate. They experience new emotions that they have never felt before.

Everyone likes to play armchair parent when it is someone else's child. These same armchair parents usually don't have kids or have older kids and can't remember what goes on in the mind of a toddler. To you armchair parents BUTT OUT or offer to help. You don't know the circumstances involved in the behavior of the child.

To the funny looking fella that slapped a 2 year old. If you slapped one of my children, your face would look much worse than it does now. If of course you are still alive to look at your own mug in the mirror.

Subheadline: When morons meet

I feel that man's pain but to slap a 2 year old multiple times that you have no affiliation with what so ever.....

It would be on like Donkey Kong!

Wal-Mart employees would be beating me to save that mans life.

He'd wake up 30 minutes later and the conversation would go something like this;

"Am I in Viet Nam?"

"No, your in a Wal-Mart parking lot."

"It feels like I got shot. One way ticket back to the states. Kiss this jungle war fare goodbye."

"Sir, your not shot. And your not in Viet Nam. Your in a Wal-Mart parking lot. We're FLYING you to the hospital. What's the last thing you remember?"

"I smacked a baby. Then I think one of his parents smacked me back."

"Actually sir, that was no baby. That was a Jedi Knight. That baby was bouncing around that aisle like Master Yoda. It was all the employees could do to keep him from turning on his light saber. Now just relax. I'm going to give you a little shot to make you feel better........"

If you think he's angry now, wait until he's been in prison for afew weeks without any beer. He'll have something to be angry about, I promise you.

Say what you want about inmates, most of them are parents. He's going to meet people that would rob a bank to feed his family. That meeting is going to suck for him.

It's with polite restraint that I don't take this thread into the gutter. Not that the mods would allow it anyway.

Yup, keep going. That's going to make you feel better, and makes you think the world is going to be a better place now. I never said I felt sorry for him. But I am saying now that I feel sorry for the world with you in it. I don't know if you have morals but its basic philosophy that you should not look down upon someone, who doesn't have as much control, or discipline as you. I try to live my life by the golden rule, if this guy didn't it doesn't give me the right to criticize him.

I think that you may have misunderstood me, I am not siding with this man. I am just saying that criticizing someone you've never even talked to, about something he did wrong seems like you think pretty high of yourself. The day will come when you do something wrong, and you will regret something that you can't take back. I'm sure people will speak high of you.

Perhaps not bashing someone who did something wrong, means that I don't have a "grip". So maybe I should just jump on the wagon with everyone else and curse this man on a forum online. Maybe then I will get a grip.
