Doctors baffled by Indian village of over 200 sets of twins

Interesting little bit of information here... No conspiracies... No NWO plots I'm becoming famous for Just some odd news.

I'm going to dig into this some more to see if I can figure out what it is about the water that is making this happen.

So that's really, really cool. I don't know about anything in the water causing twins in humans but I think in frogs, fertility drugs in the water increase weird mutations that stem from being a twin. (Like two frogs stuck together-ish)

I think twins are also genetic, so that helps, too. My friend's grandma had two sets of twins, and then my friend's mom had twins. I think there's a similar genetic pattern in my boyfriend's family. And in my family, my great aunt (I think) had like 4 sets of twins, but they all died. Um, I hope I don't have those genes.

Yeah I knew about the genetic link with twins but the whole water thing has thrown me for a loop as well!

I'm still trying to search for some info on this.

edit to add: It's just that it is in a remote Indian village so I don't know how chemicals and hormones would play factor here. Something I will look into is how India is such a developing Industrial nation that perhaps it is bi-products from the factories?

Still sort-of at a loss. The research I am finding shows most people studying this phenomena at a loss for explanation.

your mentioning earlier of water had my mind racking and the best I can come up with thus far doesn't include this immediate area. In Bangladesh, there is a grass-roots method of sanitation called "Community-led total sanitation." This system makes the community completely responsible for cleaning up all defecation.

Here is a map showing the distance between Bangladesh and Kodinji, the village where the twin births are happening.



I will continue looking to see if Kodinji practices a similar method as well as look into what types of industries surround the village. Just like with frogs experience mutations from certain hormones in water supplies, I wonder if there is some sort of concentrated hormone in the local water supply which makes females more apt to have twins.

No matter what the outcome, if these researchers continue what it is they are doing, this should prove to be a wonderful discovery for science!
