Like masks of any kind, avatars hide and reveal at the same time. Behind it, people can conceal some personal things about themselves, but the av also
selectively amplifies other aspects of their personalities. It may reveal something about the member that otherwise is not immediately obvious - maybe
not even obvious if you met that person in real life. Maybe not even obvious to the owners themselves. What users express in their props is not always
a conscious choice. Sometimes it’s unconscious. People may simply say that they are wearing a particular av because “I like it.” When asked,
they’re not sure what it says about them. But other people may know.

Do you look like your avatar? Does your avatar display your personality? Or maybe your avatar is a symbol of your fantasy's, hopes or dreams? Maybe
you're a dude who's avatar looks like a lady. I thought it would be fun to see how closely peoples avatars resembled what we guessed they were like,
or if we weren't even close.

At first glance I guess mine could be considered an "evil" avatar. This has been said to me before...
But you have to understand why a person chooses an avatar...
the reasoning behind mine is.. personal.. but, to sum it up, everything living that you see with your eyes will eventually die.
It is the best way I can explain it.

Mine shows that after much head scratching...
I still have no idea how to get the full pic to appear properly! 
It shows I'm a caveman with this technical stuff.

Mine now shows I'm a technical wizz and my avatar says I'm an Aussie.
OK, and a big thanks to schrodingers dog who showed this cave man Aussie how to fix the avatar!

My avatar tells me how I try to listen to different aspects of realities, and perceptions....
Also, as you can see the brain being pulled apart by the hands; is very telling. The blood is representative of life leaving, or life flowing.

I'm not sure what mine says about me.
It's a photo I snapped of my cousins on my great uncle's farm in South Florida.
You can just barely see my cousins in the bottom corner.
maybe it's a perspective piece.

It's the closest thing I could find to the earth being enveloped by a cosmic spiritual force of love.

Mine says that my eyes have a reflective quality when there's a 1.3 gigawatt flash on a camera and that paint shop pro sunray lighting effects are
very gnarly indeed.
PS: Love "the trooper" avatar! My second favorite after Powerslave. What albums they are!
