Trial Starts Today

My trial starts today.

Jury selection begins at 9am. Then we will go right into the trial.

I am the defendant and facing a trumped up charge. That's politics for you.

Hope to be back online this evening. If I'm not here my daughter will explain what's going on using my account.

I posted this because I consider ATS a big part of my life. There might be a few members that would wonder what happened to me if I stopped posting.

The charges are auto theft by conversion, slander and breach of contract.

This all had to do with the business I owned and operated until Jan. 2007. The alleged incident occurred in 2005.

I owned and operated this business for 39 years and never had a law suit against me or my company until I sold the business.

Within 2 days of then sale I received 2 notices of law suits against me.

The one today is for restitution of $350,000.00. I won the other law suit last year.

Some folks sue others for a living.

We go back to court in the morning.

My attorney is one of the best criminal attorneys in our area and she is sharp as a tack.

I hope to take the stand tomorrow afternoon. I believe that will help to clear things up.

Tomorrow will be better as we get our witnesses to testify.

I don't understand how people can swear to tell the truth and then tell lies.
Greed can do strange things.

I hope you get out from under this, it is a shame that
folk find it easy to lie, just to suit their pockets.

My case was acquitted due to lack of evidence. I am so relieved.

I have never seen a judge get so angry with the prosecuting attorney.

Neither witness the plaintiff had corroborated his story. He expected them to lie but they told the truth.

I am one happy gal this evening. This things been worrying me since Jan. 30, 2007.

Congrates on your win. I bet the vindication feels great. Hopefully you can move on in life without any more petty lawsuits being brought up against you..

Question. Can you file a counter suit for the other side wasteing your time and costing you money?

I mean since they were in the wrong shouldn't they have to pay for your court costs. I imagine your attorney cost you a good penny.
