jumping virus

Topic started on 25-6-2009 @ 10:52 AM by whatukno

Anyone heard about this thing? Its a weird virus, when I use Google and try and search for something instead of the page I want it goes to a blank page that says Jumping and the url is messed up.

For an example I Googled wikipedia and the link I click on instead of being Wiki is me-find.com... and a page labled jumping.

Anyone have any help out there to get rid of this?

I would start by using a scan of whatever anti-virus you have.

If you don't have any,

I'd recommend :

Malwarebytes

or

superantispyware

If those don't help, then I'm lost.

I dunno, but this one sure got me pissed. I did a thorough virus scan, found some other problems and cleared those up, but this bugger is still caught in there somewhere.

Grrr. I think people who write viruses should be hung by the neck until dead.

Download this and run it. Maybe it will help...

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.38

It has helped me in the past

That worked. I think, so far so good. If anyone runs into the Jumper virus, it's a nasty lil bugger that makes it so you can't use search engines right.
