How do I change a hyperlink into a word?

Topic started on 17-6-2009 @ 08:01 AM by Karlhungis

I have seen this so many times and I have always wondered how people do it. Can someone give me a quick lesson on how to change a hyperlink like this:

www.belowtopsecret.com...

into a single word that you can click on?

Thanks in advance.

When you go into the post reply box, there's a little globe in the icons above the writing space. Click on that. the first box asks you to put in what you want the link called. Hit ok, or enter, and then the next box is where you post the url.

Written out so you don't have to use the globe icon, it looks like this...

this

that's not a live link, where it says hyperlink, is where the url would be. The "this" is what shows up in the post. You may need to quote my post to see what i mean by that.

OK.. Here is the manual way..

Type... [url= This is where the URL goes] This is where the word you want goes [ /url]

Do all of that without the spaces and you have arrived at your destination..

Semper
