SYDNEY, Australia - A Sydney woman demanded an explanation Tuesday from a hospital where a pair of scissors were left in her abdomen after surgery and said she planned to sue.

Pat Skinner, 69, had part of her colon removed at Sydney's St. George Hospital in May 2001. But she said that she continued to suffer intense pain in her abdomen for months after the operation.

Eventually, she demanded doctors x-ray her abdomen. They did and discovered the 6.7-inch pair of scissors, which were removed in October 2002.

You should see the media frenzy which is following this story down here. Every news program and broadcast has been running it for nearly 3 days constantly.

And just as the story came out all the nurses in Victoria decided to close 1 in 4 hospital beds for two weeks demanding more money. Great timing.

The bottom picture does not match the top. The bottom Is at the neck, the top is in the abdomen. What gives?

He's right, what's going on with that? And the scissors look different sizes too. Hmm, all odd.
Bloody careless Doctors, I've heard numerous stories similar in the UK also.
