Cat Torturer Caught In CA

Topic started on 27-2-2009 @ 03:12 AM by GTORick

MSNBC Crime Story Link

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - A homeless man already charged with soaking live cats in gas and torching them in California is now accused with using scissors to lop off feline tails.

I thought this was an important topic to bring up on ATS. I am just sickened to the core reading what this man - no that's too good for him - monster did to these defenseless animals. We are seeing far too much of this lately. It should be noted that most serial killers start with animal cruelty somewhere in their lives. This monster is pleading insanity and might actually go free.

All I can say is he is lucky the police found him before me.

Edit: Fix link hopefully.

Amen.

I guess when mankind has hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up. This is sad, I have 2 cats and if I ever came across this guy doing that to them, I would come to their defense.

I respect animals as much as the next guy, but i find it disturbing that he faces 7 years in jail and yet the person in the video is getting away with well just about anything. But i guess this is normal. !!!

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to shoot this sicko but alas that's against the law too.
Oh well.

He was homeless - a looser... I wonder if he was jealous of the lives the cats had. I've got a cat, and I look at her and think she's got it easy... I bet she don't agree tho.

What this guy did is just gross isnt it. he is homeless and I would bet that its because he is crazy and he was unable to hold a job due to his obvious unstability.

I will bet that he will be found not guilty by reason of insanity, and he will probably be stuck in a mental hospital untill they declare him stable enough to leave. But then he wont be able to afford any medication he will be on because he doesnt hae a job and he will just go right back to living on the street and probably keep on torturing animals.

I have heard of many stories happening just like that. It becomes an unstoppable cycle... and its a real shame.

I am pretty close to where this happened too (the OC). I know a lot of people will disagree with me but I am of the opinion that people insane like this person is can not be cured. I also tend to think that people who do this type of behavior tend to be sane however.

If this guy does get out or off, well I would just hate to think of what might happen if a couple of us got together and accidentaly run into him. In torture cases of both humans and animals I believe the torturer deserves what he dished out.

No problem Lernmore. I think things like this should get press coverage for that very reason.....so we can be careful when a twisted person like that is running around.

How much would anyone like to take a bet he has either killed another human or tried or did torture another human already.

A punishment of equal moral value to the crime committed would be appropriate.

Put him in a room with a cat that weighs the same as he does and tell him that if he can successfully cut its tail off he can go free...

Easy.
