Trying to find the title of a book.

Topic started on 3-1-2009 @ 08:19 PM by calcoastseeker

I once ran upon a book in the 70's that I would like to find the title of and the authors name.
The plot was that the Chinese and U.S. had a war.The Chinese won and the U.S. surrendered unconditionally. It was short and very deadly. The Chinese landed massive numbers of troops on the west coast to occupy the land.
The main character was a young girl and the story was told through her view point. The Chinese were moving all the citizens to the interior of the country to work as peasants in the fields.
I think the book was written in the 50's.
Does this in anyway ring a bell with anyone?

Try using AllReaders. I tried but I don't think I have enough information to make some of the judgments. Seeing as how you read the book, you'll probably know a little more than I do about it.
