I recently heard a song (by the late great Nusrat Fateh Ali) that was based off this poem (by a 17th century Sufi poet), and it really struck me:

The "contradiction" appears to be there, but that is part of what God is.


I'd provide a link to the whole song, but there don't seem to be any translations of an acceptable level (they all seem childish and don't capture the original lyrics very well).
