Ok, the answer to this question may be painfully obvious. I'm trying to download Youtube videos. Has anyone been successful at this? Thanks!

yes it is very easy. first of all you need mozilla firefox, then you need video download helper. then after you install that you need to download the
video download helper converter to convert eveything to avi.

Use orbit downloader,
www.orbitdownloader.com...
It can help you to not only download you tube videos but also videos from other sites.
|
i use FRAPS
it will capture pics or video of anything from video's to game footage. you name it.
|
I use the Converter at vixy.net
It even has a beta windows app that you can download that does the same thing from your PC.
It converts youtube to a choice of:
divx avi
mov (MAC)
mp4 (IPOD)
3gp (Mobile)
mp3 (Audio Only)
flv (flash file)
Since I've found it I haven't used anything else.

I use the download helper plug in for firefox. I use FLP player to play them.

I expect (not sure) that the browser will save it to a temporary location (it does in linux, not sure about windows) while you watch it. Just find
that location, find the video and copy it, since the browser will delete the original when you navigate away from the page.
Simple as that, no need for external software except the player.

Even easier, go to KeepVid.com:
www.keepvid.com...
All you do is add the URL to the query box, and click download. Then all you have to do is choose to save it as FLV or MP4.

i use www.keepvid.com, the download speed is good...
then ill use the program SUPER to change the format for my ipod etc..
