An ATS member just lost a loved one!

An ATS member just lost a loved one…

“Where, Oh death, is thy victory? Where, Oh death, is thy sting?" I Cor 15:55

Good question…

NOT HERE!!!!!!!

OT just found out 10 minutes ago…

That I have lost my best uncle!!!!!

He died tonight, after a long illness…

H e leaves a wife, children, grand children…and great grand children. Nieces, nephews and…

Many many friends from work!

You may think this odd…WE REJOICE!!!! He is with the Lord Jesus…where there is no time…he stepped out of time into ETERNITY!

OT knows you, too, will experience this…

We discuss, argue…at times over many issues…

BUT NO ONE…No ONE…says the wished they spent more time at work, or on ATS….on their deathbed!

When your time comes to experience this…I encourage you…to turn to Jesus-He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother!

The Apostle Paul says…for me to live is Christ, but TO DIE IS GAIN!!!!

OT Sad…but trusting in the Lord with all my heart, leaning not on my own understanding…

In all my ways, acknowledging Him…

And He will lead me straight!!! Proverbs 3:5,6

PS: We all speak confidently during good times…but it all could be done in a second…

Please take time to reflect…

PSS: Thanks to Kid Rock for this…

ATS-ers, listen to the words during the last part of the song…ok? music.aol.com...

Here’s are the words to the last part of 'Amen!'

“… It's a matter of salvation from them patience up above,
So don't give up so damn easy on the one you love, one you love
Somewhere you got a brother, sister, friend, grandmother, niece or nephew
Just dying to be with you
You know there's someone out there who unconditionally, religiously, loves you
So just hold on 'cause you know it's true
And if you can take the pain
And you can withstand anything, and one day
Stand hand in hand with the truth

I said amen, I said amen
I said amen, I said amen…”

I'm sorry for your loss OT, but, I know how comforting it can be, when you KNOW your loved one was a Christian.
And, as far as getting closer to Jesus, when you're about to die, I know.
My great grand-dad did.
It's like the old westerns; They would say "Say your prayers, partner!" Right before they shot them.
All the Best to you!

Praise God OT, this Uncle of yours is truly lucky to pass on before the truly horrible judgments to come. Many parts of me are almost envious!

Seriously now, I'll say a prayer for your family, I'm sure some of them are having a hard time with this loss, I'll pray they are comforted.

But I agree FULLY, if your uncle died with the Lord in his heart and on his lips, it's truly reason to celebrate!!!!!

God Bless OT.

hello There

Thankyou for the postive posting.

I agree, this should be an occasion to celebrate the life of your uncle and to praise the Lord that you will see him again when Christ returns.

You are doing what many Christians try and fail to do, you are an inspiration. I'll keep you in prayer my friend and God Bless.
