Thank you. Apparently this is a passage that they are either unaware of, or choose to overlook.

I will have to remember this, and next time, I will ask them to flip to this verse. The looks on their faces should make up for my anger at them knocking in the first place.

Well, brother, have fun with it. I refuse to dignify the deceiver. That's my choice, and I hate to see others dignify him as well.

Quite a few patriarchs of the Christian faith refused to dignify him as well.

That is excellent! I honor you for your commitment and for respecting yourselves and your children enough not to lie to them! I don't have children, myself, but I would do as you do. Never lie and have a great deal of fun. I believe lying to our children (even about fun things) teaches them not to trust us.

I was just asking out of curiosity. Thanks for your response.



Well, know that at least one other person thinks you are absolutely doing the right thing by being honest with your kids!
