at a glance I can't tell whats so dumb about the website. maybe I missed something, but bringing awareness to inhaling random and bad chemicals while working around electronics isn't dumb.

And how is this dumb? Because you don't understand it or you have done no research on what the makers of that site are trying to prove?

Here I found something interesting:
www.geek.com...

"fire retardant chemicals used in the production of PC components has made its way into surrounding dust. These brominated, flame retardant chemicals are deemed harmful to humans and animals (they are believed to cause reproductive and neurological disorders)" Dumb???

A vid, if you care to watch

It is perhaps a bit OTT but the website does draw attention to an element of electronic equipment that I had not considered.

There are considerable dangers to health associated with beryllium oxide yet many magnetron's (the power source for microwave ovens) incorporate beryllium insulators - does beryllium give off any vapors when heated ?.

Tweakie.
