Well, as most of you have guessed it is a problem with the vendor's servers, not ours...
We've been in contact with them and have been told they're working on it.
Unfortunately they have NOT given us an estimate for when it will be back up...
Those of you who are regulars in chat know that I miss it just as much as you all do... hopefully we'll have good news for you soon!

yeah it just broke down on me after just getting in a few hours ago, even though nobody was there, it did work for me then.
Just get a blank page now so I guess they are working on it ... well hoping !

I was in during the early morning hours (EDT) with DocGonzo for a little bit but now I see the chat isn't loading again. *shrugs* I should probably

Yes but my laptop has been acting strange the last day or two anyway .... hmm might it have something to do with this ? maybe. I doubt it though.
I am being overly paranoid 
I lost my internet connection this afternoon for no good reason too. Just reset the router and it was fine again. Still very strange.

Hmmmm..... perhaps CERN really is the issue. They must have created a pinpoint black hole that is sucking the internet into it! I can only speculate

why dont ATS just use the servers here?

My understanding is that it was specifically because of security issues that it was kept off the site because 123 had holes in it that didn't work
with the original chat server's java system.

the thing is even so its external or internal
it requires access to the main MYSQL database of ATS
so people can use their log in from the forum on the chat client.
either way it requires access to user details and
from what i know thats how it is.
