Chat Issue

Actually it looks like we ARE allowed to say lol.

I neeed my chaaaaat.

The last time this happened was because Asala took the Amigos Shoes. We traced it back to her and once the negotiations concluded and the shoes were returned chat started right back up. I am suspecting either Asala or Oni X X ultamately has something to do with chat being down. Oni has been a very naughty girl after she got her third X

I've been told that this is WUK's fault. Apparently he robbed Springer's house, and stole all of his salad forks. Skeptic lost all of his tea cups, and someone else said they lost all of their socks. So to calm the Wukky down, they shut chat down.

Tater tots indeed have their merit. But when too many of them get jammed in the ATS inner-workings, I tend to get suspicious.



Chat has been an interesting display of freeform psychodynamics the past few weeks, hasn't it?

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting online and going into ATS chat too see who I was going to chit chat with for the night... and where is lord going to hide tonight?? lol

Ok, I still can't get into chat and this UFO special isn't so special. It is all repeat stuff.

Yeah nothing going on here too and chat is still down for me. *shrugs* I'll look again tomorrow I guess

this chat has had issues from the start
not being rude but it has been a pain to log into as most of us got 5 log in errors or more before it let us in

and now this

for something that cost almost $200
its not very reliable.

I miss it too, but it's not the only way to communicate with other people here on ATS. Maybe this is a sign from above that the chat wasn't being used for it's intended purpose?

It's a social perk - but it's also a social perk on a CONSPIRACY site.

Been a lot of flirtin' and psychobabble going on in there lately...

The Three Amigos have been more than gracious to provide a safe haven and alternative to "regular chats"....and it HAS kind of been slipping down that slippery slope lately into a "well gee, I could log into yahoo or msn for this kind of thing".

Maybe it's a hint...?

The chat software costs $150 for a license. ATS has to pay that in order to obtain it's license, and likely more if it's not hosted on ATS itself.

like i said an hour and a half ago I'm in chat
and now someone else is here so there is two of us in chat
therefore chat is up
and once you hit the log in screen it takes a couple trys to get in

perseverance is the key
if there is a problem I'm sure there working on it

Unless my DNS is deceiving me, chat is not responding. It'll load the page, but not the client. Not sure how you're on TUP, but it's not working for me or most everyone else.

I did not know there was a fee to run a chat server. Then again, I'm not too much the new school techie either.

Makes even more sense that they'd can it if it wasn't being used for it's intended purpose of real time conspiracy discussion.

But eh, I'm an old fart. What do I know.

I've been trying to get in Penguin, but no luck here either. The client is timing out while trying to load. ping can't locate the DNS addy either.
