Canadian Teens Microwave Family Pet

Two Canadian teens were handed a year’s probation for trashing a home while the owners were on vacation, and leaving behind a nasty present, according to the Globe and Mail.

Among the $10,000 in damages was writing scrawled on the kitchen window and cabinets: "You had a nice cat" and "it's in the microwave."

Princess, the cat, "was screaming in the microwave for 10 minutes while it was essentially cooked to death," Prosecutor John Laluk reportedly told the court.

100 Hours of Community Service for THIS!? Where is the Justice in that? People receive harsher punishments for being caught with small amounts of marijuana, or smacking someone in the face. I seriously cannot believe that such a sick, twisted, foul crime could possibly afford such a lenient "sentence", if you can even call it that. This is NOT Justice, this IS an Outrage.

I would barley hold my self together and not kill them if I saw them.

10 minutes in a microwave!?

Damn, I just don't understand, really...

I agree. This is so twisted and yet the PTB decide for us that to possess and consume cannabis is a serious "crime." Meanwhile these guys go on their merry way without any sort of punishment. What's probation, community service? Pfffft!

16 years old. They should be in jail for the year, reimburse the family, and be publicly humiliated by being forced to wear a sign saying "I get my jollies by torturing helpless animals."

It's these kinds of people that grow up to be the serial killers and torturers.

If this was my pet, I would end up in jail with a charge of grievous bodily harm after smashing the little a-holes heads through a glass window

I cant stand people that get kicks out of abusing animals

They deserve heavy sentences

I heard stories of this type as a kid and always thought it was fake.

That is horrifying to think about if you do analyse the situation. The pet must of been screaming in pain.

Just terrible!

Yes I have a vivid imagination, and can really imagine what the cat went through and what it eventually looked like while alive.

Cats are so innocent, I just can't understand how people can do something like this to such sweet and innocent beings.

Whats ironic is that if that were my cat, I would be the one going to prison, as I would wring the life out of those boys.

Seriously, The Comte hit it right on, these are the kind of people that end up becoming serial killers. Especially if they are already leaving messages about the incident.

All I can say is that makes me sick to my stomach. Maybe a presidential candidate should put in a new policy that says if you torture and kill an animal in a capitalistic fashion, no matter what age, you are forced to go hunting with Cheney.

Now that's a president I would vote for.
