Great thread! I love the idea, we should do other countries aswell. To really open up our mind to what's out there.

I'll probably choose a country and make one in future. Will watch the videos later. Thanks.

hey..

Flymetoothemoon

I guess that you are Jewish, and live in Iseral???

There is more knowledge in that region of the world then any other piece...

Here in california, our 'historical' sites are like:
Hey, there was a small clay spanish hut here... 200 years ago... wow...

In the middle east, it has been thousands upon thousands of years...
Many civilizations

Much history

Hi :-)

Thanks for asking... Well i am not jewish and does not live in Israel LOL.
If i was, it would not be a problem i believe.

But many years ago after only info (so it seemed) from mainstream press was about war and so negative, i just thought there must be more than that... And sure there is. The historie itself is quite amazing.
A relative of mine moved to Israel years ago, so i've been there three times. I can't put into words what experience it has been to be there. Its such a beautiful place !!!
Yes i understand the difference you're telling about. But i also do believe that every country/state whatever has it's gems somewhere if people took the time to look and think a little bit further LOL

Guess this thread's a little "art"... Maby it shall be : anything positive even if you never been there...

Endorsement:

Israel is very different than shown in the media. Its a beautiful, Mediterranean country. The north could almost pass as Greek or Italian. The South is deserty. Its well tended to and taken care of. Lots of technology being applied to make it more green and watered. The Israeli parts are above average clean, the people polite, smart and humorous.

When I go for diving vacation I choose Israel over Egypt because its less overrun by tourists and you dont get ripped-off every minute, like you do in Egypt.

A visit to the birth place of some of the major world religious is a must...

Americans have no way to comprehend the history...

Here in the USA, we take joy in realiseing that there was nothing worth nothing here before we got here...

This is not the case in this region...

Every inch of the middle east has thousands of years of history...

In the US, we see signs posted that say, in 1898, NOTHING happen here...

In isreal, signs could say, 800 years ago, Salidin marched his army on this land...
Or 2000 years ago, a man called Jesus lived under the Rule of the Romans...

the amount of history in this small area is astounding

You won with a smaller army and the enemy with a huge lost. That happened...
May i ask : did you ever visit Israel ?
Well, you know its kind of ironic that US got, as you pointed out, signs from the spanish influence... Now if you visit Andalusia in south of Spain, you will see many signs spec. from the arabs. Now i sud start to wonder who actually invented the round shapes and curves...
I love all kind of cultures. Just not my own LOL
