Check Transmission Light

Topic started on 20-8-2008 @ 02:36 PM by Andrew E. Wiggin

I've taken my car to the dealer, many times.

2007 Ford Taurus (laugh later...)

When i hop on the interstate, and get above 70 mph - the "check transmission" light will come on and stay on until i turn off my car.

Every time i've taken it to the dealer they tell me not to worry about it

Anyone here have a second opinion?

Please ask questions - im no expert mechanic, but i'd like to feel better about the situation...

Yeah. Take it to another shop that isn't the dealer.

That's my only advice.

Take it to a different ford dealer especially if it is under warranty. Also call up the ford main office for consumer issues, they can really light a fire under a dealers backside if need be. I have had to use that tactic before.

Good Luck
