I seem to remember the 70's and 80's were full of crazy shows that only i seem to remember. I know how frustrating it is when you remember something
and no one has a clue what your talking about. of course youtube has made this much more satisfying. One show I remember that absoultely no one else
seems to is "The powers of matthew star" :
allot of short lived series filling a young mind with stuff. I have many more. you?

I have one for you, this is an episode of a late 50's early 60's series entitled...
One Step Beyond
Think Twilight Zone BUT, these shows were all based on true stories....

I present for you edification (and lots of chuckles):
EXOMAN!!
A one shot movie that was supposed to serve as a pilot for a TV show that didn't go anywhere. A very blatant Iron man ripoff.

Another Fav:
ROCKY JONES SPACE RANGER
(complete with the usual glitches - note they even spell 'Ranger' wrong (RANAGER) in the opening credits).
One reason I liked it was because of Vena (played by Sally Mansfield) and the cool cape she got to wear. This was one impetus that fueled a life-long
fascination with cape wearing, haha.)
Full Show - Vena and the Darnamo

There are only a few who will remember this show:
Created by the same guy (Jay Ward) who went on to do Rocky & Bullwinkle.

Here's another great show. I actually attended this show when I lived in Pennsylvania.
One child remembers:

I was a 5-year-old in kindergarten when I made my starring appearance. That was the average age of a Ricki and Copper kid. The show took
place on a woodland set constructed inside a Channel 4 studio. Each episode featured half a dozen children or so; one by one, each child would appear
on camera with Ricki and her golden retriever, Copper (who died during the run of the show and was replaced by the younger Copper Penny, although I
wonder if the kids would have know the difference).
You would sit on a log, tell Ricki your name and where you lived, answer a few questions about your hobbies and interests, then sing a little song and
tell a little joke. Ricki, of course, would always "give up" on your joke, and Mr. Boom Man, a boom microphone with a hat and mustache, would rumble
laughter when you told Ricki the punch line. Then you would go sit around a picnic table to wait. When all the kids had finished, Ricki would sing
"Happy Birthday" using everyone's name in the song.
Then we'd eat cake.
And what cake it was. It was frequently chocolate cake and little kids in white outfits would soon, unsupervised, end up covered in chocolate.
Hilarious.

Nice tie!
Think they call that the Kentucky Colonel.
The station that did Rikki and Copper also hosted Fred Rogers who later became known as Mr. Rogers.
One of his early show was The Children's Corner with Josie Carey and Meow, Meow.
Great TV.
