Songs about UFOS and more

<<  1    2    3  >>

Topic started on 7-8-2008 @ 09:49 AM by orange-light

a couple of days ago skept!cal started the thread www.abovetopsecret.com...‘ – celebrity stargazing.
a lot of contributing users posted a lot of songs, dealing with U.F.O.s, outer space, and other stuffs.
i am not sure if all the artists really belive in aliens or U.F.O.s or anything comparable, or if they just recorded it coz it sounded nicely or to full fill a contract.
so some people asked themselves and fellow users what impact the songs might have on audicence or on the artist himself!

does it mean that the artist belives in such stuff? does he elaborates own experiences (or maybe just the author of the song) or maybe it is just a hype?
i am not sure about it!

i just quoted the song lists from the very thread and added youtube links for those who don.t know the songs.
i used the reply to fuction to figure out who made the original post
the song that follow or the list has been posted by the user referd to via “reply to”
i listed everything in chronological order. links have been found at youtube. those which couldn.t be detected are marked in bold. so feel free to complete the list or add more songs.
it is quiet a nice list, different styles
so we start with the first song – to which 2 users got some thoughts later on in discussing, these have been pulled out from the behind by me.

Sure it's not a game! But I'm a newbie, you know... :-))

Btw, what about adding movies/books to the topic? There's a book I read when I was a teen that influence me lot... "Contact" by Carl Sagan. Years later, they made a movie about it.
Just a suggestion...

can you tell me why it is your fav song?
i am really intertested what music does to people
and maybe why

music is a language, so it should be used to communicate
not only the words of the lyrics but the sound, the vibes, the time, and all that stuff

the origine of the aufience is very important - western music is differnet from eastern music (asian!)

so please share your thoughts and feellings

i will use the weekend for listening to the music into the list and write down my thought
while collecting the stuff and links i got a first impression and this is for sure it is amazing

i know for sure i need def. more clarence clearwater revival
great stuff!

and police

no i didn.t know that jimi was a trek fan
great to hear!

never mind danamoon
for ats i am a newbie to
i am here only a couple of months longer than you
but many times in life you have to do the first step and so we did

great idea with the movies

therefore i called the thread "songs about ufos and MORE"

we are talking about contact with jodie foster?
i love that movie it is fantastic

en.wikipedia.org...

i would love to have youtube or other weblinks at hand
to make it easier to get to know to the stuff

just the title of a song isn.t very helpful to me - to get an idea of the stuff

contact is a movie which thrills me
as if it is a documentary - absolutly fantastic and i ususally think that it must be real, just an idea how it could be

i am an absolute star treck fan - no no ears like mr spock - i prefer next generation

en.wikipedia.org...

en.wikipedia.org...:_The_Next_Generation

guess i could take over any character in the shows

yeah enlighten2012 but i am not the guru of the thread
by no means.

as i stated before, it would be very helpful to get links, nobody has the same background.

mysteries of the unknown!
en.wikipedia.org...

btw. fantastic stuff isaac asimov
en.wikipedia.org...

an american scifi author who started to write at the end of the 30s and developed to me an universe of its own with the foundation series en.wikipedia.org...

nearly every movie consisting robots tell you of the 3 laws of robotics which have been created by asimov

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

About the feelings : Celiac plexus also known as Solar plexus
some beats in music are, well i think so, made to go directly to the "Solar plexus". Many times its the drum beat. The famous Enigma horn (foghorn)as well...
Just an idea i have
