Back Button Not Working...

Topic started on 31-7-2008 @ 01:23 PM by wyldwylly

Hello ATS and it's members, I have a question about why the back button needs to be double clicked when trying to get back to the list of recent posts. I'm currently running WINXP SP2 PRO, but just recently upgraded to Firefox 3.0.1.

This is the only web site that I have to actually double click the back button for it to go back, whereas all other web sites, a normal single click works just fine, using the same computer and same firefox versions.

When I single click the back button, all it does is refresh the page I'm currently on. I've asked in the Firefox forum but they all point me to the web site I'm having the issues on, so I thought I'd come here and ask since this is where it's happening.

Any ideas, reasons? - Thanks

It sounds like the site is using some sort of redirect such that when you click back to your previous URL, it automatically redirects you to the page your stuck on. Can you provide a link to the site so others can confirm if that's the case?

Every page that has posts on AboveTopSecret.com and BelowTopSecret.com does this.

Actually I've noticed it happens more so when I'm not logged in and just reading posts logged out... and mostly on the abovetopsecret.com forums.

I think I have had a similar thing happen to me. On occasion there seems to be a little ad thing or something suddenly sent on a page while it's idle, or any other time. Not entirely sure what causes it but for some reason it does count as another page then, despite not reloading it. That seems to be the cause for me.
