Ok I'm a little annoyed at this and it's one of the main reasons why I avoid Myspace and other sites similar to it like the plague.
That reason is cluttered looking pages.
Why do people feel a need to clog their pages up with random pictures & junk thinking it looks really good when all it is, is an eyesore ?? You have
pages of colours clashing, flashing images with glitter which is enough to make any person have an epileptic fit.
Do these people have no shame or no clue on colour harmony and making something nice to look at as opposed to an eye sore ? Less is more you know, you
don't have to clutter your page with infinite junk just to make it personal to you, if anything it makes just like everyone else who clutters their
pages with their favourite junk. Then there's text & backgrounds which clash forcing you to squint just to try & make sense of the words and even
then it's not enough and you have to highlight the text to be able to see what it says.
I mean do these people even look at their own pages to see what it looks like or do they just randomly pick a load of pictures & colours they like and
put into a random page generator then insert the code and leave it at that ?
Yes I may sound like a grumpy old fart for writing this but it really annoys me, so I'm curious if anyone shares my hatred for the cluttered pages or
owns a cluttered page & wants to explain the method behind their utter madness ?
People keep their homes nice and tidy & free of clutter and they generally don't have visitors there every day so why does this not apply to their
clutterspace pages as it's pretty much their home on the internet ?
And don't even get me started on the autoplay music apps they have, if I want to listen to their favourite choice music I'd like to be asked first
not have it blurting out my headphones at me and then have to sift through the junk to find the stop button

A star for you, I totally know how you feel.
And what makes it worse, is when they mess up a code or something and it completely messes up their page, or stretches the page out into oblivion.
My Myspace is clean and neat, and I only have a Ron Paul 08 background and a few paragraphs on about me.
Some people are so messy. *stares around at my bedroom* .

Hmmm you might be onto something here you know
This theory could be totally wrong but...
Those with messy dwellings have tidy Myspace pages
Those with tidy dwellings have messy Myspace pages
Perhaps they use Myspace as a medium to let their messy persona out
And the tidy Myspace users are just too lazy to clutter their page up with junk hence the junk laying about their dwellings ?

I feel your pain. Some people should put warnings on there thumbnail thingy.
"Warning i have no taste!" or for the ones who put hundreds of pictures of their mug "Warning i have no class".Do they not realise if their page
is a jumbles and a mess of noise and colours most people will quickly get the hell outta their page.Who the hell ever watches anyones vids or listens
to music on peoples pages(excluding bands/artists)?

Awwwwwwwwww for real guys? lol
I USED to have a myspace page.. but i kept it similar to my home.. A few things that express the "ME" that i wanted my friends to know and a
tasteful , quiet ,soothing background. ( honestly lol )
I have had friends whose pages take 10 minutes to load ( a lil shout out to photobucket ) ,they have 3 players on their page all assaulting my ears at
the same time and let's not forget the videos.
I cant explain why ppl do it.. i just knew enough to walk away from it. This Polish blonde is catching on !!
EDITED : why:? cuz i * am * the typo queen

My myspace is kinda a mess, but yet not.
I have a Gaiaonline profile and when I take the time to really do up my profile it's neat, layed out and a few things expressing who and what I like.

I completely agree. Some are way over the top with absolute clutter but what can you do?
My page is pretty OCD (in fact my banner title says 'welcome to my OCD page), my profile layout is always color coordinated to my default pic, and my
tops friends have a special script so all of their photos are the same 90x90 dimensions (instead of all shapes and sizes) and they are all done in
black and white to avoid color clash. Then everything is aligned with scripts to avoid off centered sections. Of course, this results in a terribly
boring page but hey- it's myspace, so there.

My theory on it is that most of the people on myspace are minors that have no organization or layout skills. Plus you see the pages with backgrounds
that are black with white pictures, therefore the white text can't be read in half of the areas.
I have never been on myspace but I'm at the library and never see any adults on it, just kids. That is were I get the idea that it is dominated by
minors!

I'll hit you up with a complete agreement here. Tone it down people...really. Immaturity always has a way to assault the senses. If you think about
it it works in the same manner as the myspace kids who have 1000 friends and only really know who 5 of them are.
People these days seem to believe quantity is the rule but when you pick out one of the 1000 friends and ask them about that person they look at you
blankly.
Yep...to heck with quality

You may actually be on to something there with that theory.
I know of several people that this line of thinking would hold true to.
They are just the opposite of what their "digital persona" appears to be..
Yep, very interesting theory
