Suicide hot line got calls from 22,000 veterans

WASHINGTON (AP) — More than 22,000 veterans have sought help from a special suicide hot line in its first year, and 1,221 suicides have been averted, the government says.

As a vet I find this just so sad, what a waste of good young men and women .

I can only imagine how many calls they would have gotten if the hotline wasn't operated by the government. It seems there would be many who wouldn't call because of that fact alone.
