Geeks and Sexual innuendo

Why is it that Uber nerds (i'm a bit of one I must admit) have some much Phallic and sexual innuendo in everything they invent and do...

I was just looking at a post on the the Large Hadron device... and You know change one letter and they speant BILLIONS to build something they essentially call the Large Hardon

Computers... it's all Hard Drives...and RAM, and lol Floppy Disks... ummm helllo

Kim Jong Il has Built a bunch of Dongs with war heads on them...

It's all Force and Thrust and Vibrations out there... and Stimulus in science class...

Is all of our progress in the last century some kind of... mental compensation for guys who can't get laid or what?

haha! Not just the last century, IMO. Don't delve into plumbing terms, they're chock full too. Sexual metaphors aplenty in most everything, if one wants interpret that way. Good thread -- insightful

I wonder, is it the geeks problem, or is it your own for finding these names sexual in nature? I am not so sure if an egg shaped missile would do as well as one that is more streamlined.
