News Headlines in Flash?

Topic started on 23-7-2008 @ 02:51 PM by NovusOrdoMundi

I need help with this. I can't seem to find a website that is good at explaining or answering this question.

I hate to post this link, but its the only one I can think of: InfoWars

You see the box that is showing headlines that you can use the controls "forward", "pause", and "backward"? And how it automatically changes after a few seconds?

I need to know how to do that. Is it made with flash? Is it just basic keyframing and having one picture fade to another at a certain point on the timeline? Or is it something else?

Are there any tutorials that are out there on how to do this?

It looks like a flash image rotator to me. I have never coded one, but you have to know a bit of actionscript to set it up right.
I normally just buy these or download them for free when I can find them offered.
Here is a google search for you on actionscript tutorials.

here's a link to something I found:

SlideshowZilla

Note the Headline Banner Sample about halfway down the page.
