I belive the correct ratio is actually 1 in 3 men MAY have prostrate problems. I have about 7 close male relatives near or above 60 years of age. None have had any problems yet, thats why why they say 1in3 "may" have problems. It's not 100% like you have been told otherwise more men would try to use it as argumentitive leverage over the whole having periods/babies thing. Because thats how guys work(stereotyping at its best, lol).

No. All men have prostate issues because their hormones change over time like women. It is not considered a problem because it is natural. Such as women having no periodas they grow old is not considered a problem either, it is a natural thing that happens in ones life span.

I just saw a commercial for Always Panty Liners. Their slogan is "Have a Happy Period". WTF, now see, we are supposed to feel guilty for having crabby periods. How about "Make a Crabby Period more Comfortable" that would be more honest.

I've always found that commercial odd, how exactly would panty liners make me that happy? They really should give Midol that slogan.

Or Budweiser! I'm a one liner kinda person. I don't fit in here. So I come up with a few more silly things to say to keep the mods away.

Careful, if the "one liner" warnings don't get us the "off topic" ones just might.

Budweiser

I'm not allowed to buy Bud anymore, an old man told me so in the market because they sold out. The lecture he gave me was so long and dull I doubt I'll ever attempt to buy a pack again, just out of fear that he'll sight me.

The commercial makes sence to me. I'm not sure, but I think they are saying that you don't need to worry about all that blood getting everywhere, and not really taking about the emotional side of menstruation. When was bleeding from the crotch a fun thing?

Speaking of stereotypes, is that not like the stereotypical girl horror story? Having a period and not having the means to deal with it(no pads or tampon). Or the whole getting your first period at school, and for lack of a better term, people see you "leaking"?
They play that one up in all shows and movies alot of the time...Is it not true?

Yes, a fear just like farting in class. Now they have commercials for kids that "flatulence is normal". I wish they had those commercials when we were kids.
I had one of those horrors in school. My grandpa had to come get me. I was wearing white pants for heaven's sake!! He asked me what was wrong... I said girl stuff.

Which brings me to the question, why can men fart and it's funny, and when girls do everyones eyes pop out?

The god awful stench.

Men "escape" on a regular basis. Women hold it in until no on is looking or around (if they're not gross)

When you let one go with company, the paint peels.

Hey, maybe you should spend some time around the outside of the house, might get rid of that ugly color.

You assume that my paint color is what my husband painted his house. My house has a nice color. If I wanted to peel paint I would fart next to his lawn mower. He spray painted it a weird yellow color.

I respectfully disagree. I’ve dated plenty who didn’t know squat about women, even a man in his twenties who thought female orgasms were a myth.

When a woman wants something, she takes 37 steps and 5 arguments to get it.

When a man wants something, he just goes to the store and buys it.

I find this statement a little offensive, because you group all men together, you group all women together, and your generalization about women makes them sound more complicated than men. There are plenty of female/male relationships where men fit that description you gear towards women and where women fit the description you gear towards men. You yourself are only fueling misconceptions.

An assumption here: Upon reading your responses here and on other threads, I think you are very intellectual and you attempt to explore every angle possible. What I also observe is a very "politically" correct sensibility that appears to be natural and intrinsic to your nature. Unfortunately most of us are not as "advanced" and sensitive as you seem to be.

Your frustration is obvious but remember the causality exists in a realm in which you have no control.

I myself have witnessed some very base thinking, sociopathic hatred, blind patriotism, cold skepticism, various cultural prospectives and very occasionally agenda free exchange of ideas.
I constantly revert to the belief that logic, reason and understanding will assist in the total rehabilitation of minds marred with intolerance and ignorance. Unfortunately I see that this is hardly the case. In pursuit of this ideal I regularly feel trapped by the mentalities that surround me.
Recently I have come to the stark realization that one can only reason with a person so much. There is in fact a point where the discussion seems to apex based upon the totality of the other participant.

Okay, so you feel offended that a person implied a belief that women are more complicated then men. First off I think this was a simple generalization on behalf of the poster. However this was purely the verbal medium that this person used to convey "its" opinion on the matter. Unfortunately this entire discussion is on a topic that cannot
be concluded with any certainty.

I myself often "think" that women can be more complex then men, emotionally speaking. I say this because of my experiences and observation of a lifetime. Further more I believe that the HUMAN MINDS of the two sexes operate differently in sexual regards. All I have to go on is my experience - my eyes, ears and perceptions.

In saying this it seems that you assign negative values to concepts of distinction. But I say to you, that reality would a singularity of total chaos without the human construct of
of distinction.

Okay, so you feel offended that a person implied a belief that women are more complicated then men.

You misunderstand me, I did not like the way he stated it like a fact and then attempted to put down my reasoning because I am a woman. While arguing against perceptions he even used them in an attempt to make my side of the debate un-credible, only furthering more perceptions? He implied several times that I protest him because I am a woman. This is my problem with him and his reasoning, this is why I find his statements offensive and borderline sexist; instead of regarding me as a person countering his stance he brought my gender into the debate as if it should have significance in him countering my stance.

Our brains work differently, like I said we are different, but there are no significant differences in the way we handle things, think, or carry ourselves as people anymore because society has changed at a rapid rate. If we were living in a past where women’s individuality was crushed by society I doubt I be saying the same things, but we don’t. Women and men are regarded differently in several sub-cultures, so they are each different, some have similarities other than their anatomy and biology and some don’t. Androgynous boys and girls break the current mold the most, re-shaping what young people find attractive and appropriate in the opposite sex.

So do you think that the ultimate sexual evolution of mankind will result in the total abandonment of the concept of gender and gender roles?

Well there have been snippets of this in history, but something inside people drives them into gender roles. So while I neither predict such a revolution nor believe in or against it I do think it is impossible, but find it implausible that everyone would be involved and that it would last very long if all were involved.
