Swedish police puzzled by foot in shoe on beach

www.msnbc.msn.com

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Swedish police said they have found a human foot inside a shoe, which washed up on a beach near one of the country's most popular tourist resorts.

Police said the discovery was made Tuesday in Tylosand near Halmstad on the southwest coast. Police spokesman Christer Harplinger said it included a shoe "containing a sock, with a foot inside it."

Forensic experts in southern Sweden are checking the foot against a national registry of missing people.

I posted this on the BC missing foot thread but decided to make a separate thread.

A severed foot has washed up on shore in Sweden. No word on whether it is connected to the BC incidents. This new find lends credence to the idea that it is not the work of a serial killer. It doesn't say if they have contacted BC police, but I bet they probably have.

IMO it points to the victims being from the Tsunami. I wouldn't be surprised if feet started washing up more frequently on other country's shores as well.

Well, I believe it came from the same source as the BC feet; namely the Tsunami victims.

Anyone remember the ocean current experiments using messages in bottles? The bottles were found all over the world. I think the same thing is happening here.

On average, the bottles take about two years to be found. The places they show up might surprise you: from Norway to Alaska, France, and even Brazil. Unsuspecting citizens have become lab assistants in a global study.
