Weird Freaking Birds (Odd Flight Formation)

Topic started on 8-7-2008 @ 02:08 AM by UnforgiveableSin

Okay, I admit, this is really odd. I have never seen birds flock in that kind of pattern, and so many. Though, disturbing, I find it really fascinating.

I'm not sure if birds have done this before, but either way, the video is nice to watch.

According to the source its a flock of starlings.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for it to be posted. Mods can move it to wherever it needs to be. Just thought I would post something considering the video.

It looks strange, but I've seen starlings fly in those sorts of migratory patterns in Ohio and Illinois. It is neat to see. Here's another video with them swarming.

Thank you for the video.

Its really fun to watch. I wonder what other species of birds do this.
I really like watching how they get so close together that it looks black.

I posted the above news story from Sky News dated today, about bird behaviour in the news and it was moved to 'chit chat' as it was not considered news by the moderators. Not sure why your story is news and my link isn't?

Interesting about the birds though.
