Bush Stimulates The Porn Industry With His Economic Package

thinkprogress.org

An independent market-research firm, AIMRCo (Adult Internet Market Research Company), has discovered that many websites focused on adult or erotic material have experienced an upswing in sales in the recent weeks since checks have appeared in millions of Americans’ mailboxes across the country.

According to Kirk Mishkin, Head Research Consultant for AIMRCo, “Many of the sites we surveyed have reported 20-30% growth in membership rates since mid-May when the checks were first sent out...

This is hysterical. Now obviously this is more of a statment of what US citizens are "in to" but it still quite amusing that Bush's plan for stimulating the economy ended up being such a boon to the Porn industry. I somehow doubt that the White House saw this one coming down the line.

Porn, Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco....anything to keep Americans in a low vibration state of mind. Old George wants to assist as many as he can to keep them addicted to diseased products and prevent the population from waking up.

no no no no and NO!

This is something that you can not twist. I will be the first to bash Bush..after all he is an easy target, but throughout all of history there is one thing that we have always seen......

In troubled times there are always 2 industries that have flourished. The Sex Industry and Alcohol.

If that is what people are spending money on, all it shows are that we do indeed live in troubled times.

I cracked up when I read the title on Think Progress this morning. And the goofy looking pic of the Decider was equally chuckle-inspiring. The policies however, are no laughing matter...Reckless spending overseas, and "joke" priorities domestically.

I have to agree, the title deserves a big thumbs up as it is...

"Bush Stimulates The Porn Industry With His Economic Package"

Sounds like a "dodgy plumber" movie... cue innuendo about unblocking pipes and erecting some tools to clear a dirty load, however, set in the Whitehouse.

Fantastic, Chicca-Chicca-Wah-Wah!

Well seeing as this industry is well entrenched in America at least most of the money is actually staying in America.

That is such a good point because I've heard somewhere weather it is true or not I don't know, but alot of the money is being wired to relatives in other countries. I believe in imagration and people comming to America for a better life. All of are decendants from imagrants at one point or another, but at this point it is crippling the country.

With that I say, "Stimulous Package to stimulate your package not Stimulous Package to stimulate other countries."

I hate to break up the hourly Bush bashing fest, but Bush neither controlled how people spent their money nor was he the only party responsible in this move: you can think your Democrat congress for this. I'm sure everyone "forgot" to bash them in the rush to blame Bush for something.

I originally posted this in a similar thread that got closed. Thought I'ld transfer it here.

"Wow, pair this with McCain's idea that selling on eBay can help improve one's income...voila!...Americans will find financial relief from selling adult toys and videos, etc on eBay!!

Maybe this will be a new service industry for America. To heck with becoming a superpower in green technology. Now this is where the money's at. Wow, I kinda can get used to this new Bush-McCain Stimulus Package."

No food? Bills too high? Can't find a job?

Ever thought about a career in the highly flourishing porn industry? Now may be the time!

Recently, with the government's economic package, code-named STIMULUS, along with John McCain's "no yard sale left behind" initiative, more and more people are finding out that you can combine two of America's favorite past-times, buying/selling useless junk, and porn, to get themselves thru these trying times.

One such person, mentioned by W at a recent meeting, was hailed as an innovator of change in these trying times.

An excerpt:

Bush "I want to thank, um, uh, Mr. Ben Dover, for his, um, revolutionary ideas in this time of trying times in our country. Mr. Dover has figured out that combining his love of porn, along with his ebay expertise, that he can pay his power bill by selling erotic videos of himself online." (all republican senators seen making a mad dash towards their offices)

You know, I would definitely had rather saw everyone spend their "stimulus" checks on firearms...but I would NEVER have guessed that this is where it would have went. It says a lot, I dunno what it says...but....wow. just. wow.

Who would have thought an economic package could be so stimulating? It seems lots of people were excited about it.
