Swat 4 is indeed awesome.
I only bought it several weeks ago because it caught my eye in one of the $20 bargain bins. It was so worth it.
It is the best, to date, attempt to combine law enforcement with first-person shooter.
Plus, there are some real tense moments as well, such as a mission to fulfill an arrest warrant at a serial killers house. I shot his mother once by
accident because she opened a door and ran at me and i was that on edge i just clicked
The whole cuff people and report them to HQ thing is pretty cool as well.
I haven't played the expansion pack yet, but i intend to.

I remember playing a demo of this a while ago. I thought it was really good, I loved the whole handcuffing criminals up, etc.

here is an excellent strategy, always order them to drop their weapon before shooting if you shoot after that you avoid penalties. Also even if the
door is not locked, if you use a breaching charge it will stun your opponet and proceed with gas or stinger after that. usually you can taser them
before they get their snap back. in the sheriffdpt expansion you can have a gernade launcher and equipt it with cs gas and breach the door and hurl a
gas gernade at them.

I play this, though only online. Its the only online FPS that i actually consider my self good at.
The single player/coop is one of the most realistic of its kind that i have experienced and is i think one of the best realism games of its kind.

I played Swat 3 a loooot, at the extreme difficulty, and it takes some time to finish the last mission as it is long and stressful.
Swat 4 was way better than the previous, and it is maybe a little too easy compared to a few Swat 3 missions. I have the Gold Edition, FOR SALE IF
ANY EUROPEAN PLAYER IS INTERESTED. ( live in France )
Can't wait for SWAT 5

I think it is realer than real, I have watched alot of those police shows. Like when they had the shootout in North Hollywood and when some
vietnamese people held a grocery store hostage. The Swat teams on those ones were on point, watching Dallas Swat is not as forcefull. The thing I like
about the game is the fact is that if your team is not in tact then it costs lives. The one thing I miss. I have never played Swat 3, in the expansion
pack I have it has some of the missions from it though. But on the original police quest and police quest 2. It had all those interactive movies I
though that was. Atleast you dont have to be forced into sniper training to play the game like on Americas Army. I played that one online and it drags
so its not that fun but I would say Swat 4 online is alot cooler.

the problem with these new games is they require so much in a system. I can play San Andreas no problem, swat drags just a bit but i think it is
something in the games engine. But if I try and play Vegas two or the new ghost recon I cant play it because of graphics. I wish they would lower
playform version so other people can play.

It is very important that you get the version that has swat 4 plus stechkov syndicat and the mod called Sheriffs Special Forces. With this
combined totall you will have more weapons, more levels to clear and an advance AI for your soldiers that will force them to agressively target
suspects.
The game is a total buzz killer though, it uses alot of sujjestive language that would hemiliate any living person on the face of the planet. So eat
alot while playing this game.
