I understand trying to rig something up to make the death appear like an accident and perhaps try to get away with it. However I don't see how that
would work here. It just seems to me that he wanted to kill her in a painful way.
Fortunately it was determined that the way this was rigged up would not have killed her. He obviously was not a very smart electrician.
